“Belgrade Night in Chicago”, held at the Chicago Cultural Center on July 13, was an absolute success! A great effort put together by the organizers - our SUC Chicago Chapter and Belgrade Committee of Chicago Sister City International Program did pay off. A much bigger than expected attendance, a very elegant atmosphere, and a nice program with food and drinks, have made this “Belgrade Night” memorable!

April 9th, Bloomingdale, IL - The President of Serbian Unity Congress - Illinois, Mr. Zoran Golubovich, personally thanked Congressman Peter Roskam for joining Serbian Congressional Caucus. Mr. Golubovich briefed Congressman of the Chicago 6th District on the latest development about Kosovo. At the end of this quite open and pleasant conversation, Mr. Roskam confirmed his attendance at the upcoming "Serbian-American Days on Capital Hill" on June 27th in Washington.

* The President of Serbian Unity Congress, Ms. Jasmina Bulange, will be a guest speaker at the Kosovo Briefing, organized by the Serbian Congressional Caucus, on March 27., Washington, D.C. - invitation

* Members of the US Congress, Ms. Melissa Bean and Don Burton, who are also the members of our Serbian Congressional Caucus, have sent a letter to President Bush regarding Kosovo situation - please read

* The President of Serbian Unity Congress - Illinois, Mr. Zoran Golubovich, represented our organization at the meeting with Mr. Frank G Wisner, a special representative of the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Roce to the Kosovo Status . The meeting was held on March 20th, 2007, at Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Attendees included our Orthodox Church leaders, Council General, representatives of the Serbian organizations, and other distinct guests.

On December 22nd, at the "Grape" restaurant, our team celebrated its achievements in 2006. There was music and fun. We had a really good time, and we also got a few new SUC members!
